Seeing What Others Cannot See

Seeing What Others Cannot See
TGIF Today God Is First, Volume 1, by Os Hillman

"And Elisha prayed, 'O Lord, open his eyes so he may see.' Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." 2 Kings 6:17

Several years ago, a movie was made called Field of Dreams. The story is about a man who had a vision to build a baseball field in the middle of a cornfield on his rural farm. He did not know why; he just knew he was to do it. To the chagrin of his neighbors, he built the baseball diamond in the farm community. One night some players showed up. The man realized these were no ordinary players, but were actually the great players from the past. When the skeptical neighbors came to view this phenomenon, they were unable to see what the farm owner could see. This made it even worse for him. Now he was really a lunatic in their eyes.
This fictitious story has a spiritual application for us. First, if God tells us to "build a ball field," we should do it. It is not for us to determine the reason we are instructed to do it. Once we are obedient, God will allow us to see what others cannot see. It is the rite of passage for those who are willing to risk all for God's purposes. God increases the spiritual senses to levels we never knew before. Those around us will observe this.

Do you want to see what others cannot see? If so, it will require a level of obedience that will go beyond human reason. It may require risk and ridicule from others. But you will see what others cannot see.

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, You know how eager I am to jump in and take matters into my own hands. Sometimes, I don't take time to think and talk with you about a situation first. I know I should take matters to You; I should slow down a little to think and pray. Help me to not be so hard-headed all the time, but to slow down and wait on Your guidance...even Your intervention. Please give me wisdom, so that maybe I won't have to spend so much time wandering in the wilderness because of my ignorance. Thank you.

Reflections of the Fathers Heart
by Glenn H. Jackson

A "house" divided against itself shall surely fall and, truly I say to you, any "house" [congregation] wherein those in leadership have established a "religious hierarchy" [through their self-exaltive and controlling practices] shall soon be divided [between those who are unrighteously motivated towards Me and those who are righteously motivated towards Me] in this hour - and this will produce a holy separation in the midst of My people.

For it is certain that ANY in their midst who are truly seeking first My Kingdom [and their perfect part in it] will know deep within their heart that something is wrong and, as they approach Me in the "inner chamber" concerning these things, I will lead them to the spiritual environment that will continually meet the deepest needs of their heart.

In these days, there will be a mass exodus from those environments that are controlled by the hand of man for it is My desire to pour out My Glory without measure in the midst of a holy people and, therefore, I must begin to gather those who are "kindred spirits" together to form a holy vessel [corporately] that will be able to stand the great power and light that is about to be released in their midst.

Again, "holiness" is the byword of the hour! Therefore, let all those who truly love Me be found accessing My Grace fully [in every aspect of life and ministry] for these are the days that all those who have truly sought Me have longed for and, truly I say to you, they will not be disappointed!

"In the way of righteousness is life,
and in its pathway there is no death [no death can stand]" ...  Proverbs 12:28

"I will lead the blind [captive] by a way they do not know, In paths they do not know I will guide them. I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains. These are the things I will do, and I will not leave them undone".
Isaiah 42:16

Words of Prophecy
*       ALL that I have for you, My beloved one, awaits only your "perfect" obedience. Trust Me for the perfect empowerment [Grace] needed for you to obey in ALL things. For this is an hour when the "fullness" of My blessings shall begin to "overtake", to a continually greater degree, all those who have been faithful and obedient to My highest purposes [Deuteronomy 28:1-2] - concerning both the Church, and My Kingdom.

*       My Spirit shall rest upon you powerfully My child, for you are anointed to do all that I have created you for. Go forth in perfect obedience - "knowing" that I have prepared your way [Ephesians 2:10]. Do not be moved by ANY circumstances that presently surround you - for My power [Grace] is more than enough [sufficient] to cause you to gloriously overcome in ALL things.

*       There are only ever two choices:

1.      For one, to do My Will.

2.      For one to lean upon the darkened "wisdom" that comes from one's "own" understanding and, thus, depart from My Will.

The latter, ultimately, leads to failure, unhappiness, worry, anxiety, fear, humiliation, disgrace, shame, unacceptance and disapproval; while the former, ultimately, leads to love, true happiness and contentment, satisfaction,  peace, joy [strength], understanding, courage, purity, righteousness, divine acceptance and divine approval.

*       My Grace is accessed by faith, and faith works by love - and love NEVER fails. Therefore, the only thing that is required of My children is to acknowledge Me in ALL of their ways. For, as they do, My superabundant Grace will flow continually flow [abound] towards them - empowering them perfectly to fulfil My highest purpose in any given moment.
...."Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace [rest] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God"..... Romans 5:1-2 KJV

...."for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit"....  Romans 14:17 NASB

...."If because of the sabbath [rest], you turn your foot from doing your own pleasure on My holy day, and call the sabbath [rest] a delight, the holy day of the LORD honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word, THEN you will take delight in the LORD, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken".... Isaiah 58:13-14 NASB
