20 Little Happy Things to Celebrate in Life

"Between the stinky economy and swine flu pandemic, I’d say things are looking a little dismal out there! Good grief! So what can we do to keep ourselves inspired to find the beauty in life? You know me, I like to celebrate the little things! When things get a little gloomy, I try to focus on the positives and create a list of things to be happy about in life.

When I first start to make a list of happy things, I’ll admit I sometimes have a hard time finding 20 things. I get a far off, spaced out look on my face. But the more I think, the happier I get because I realize I DO have 20 things to be happy about! At least 20 things! And that in itself is reason to celebrate. I turn my mood right around by thinking of just 20 little things that make life beautiful for me.

But, even if I could find only ONE thing, thinking about it would be a good way to focus on something positive amidst the craziness this world is dishing out right now."

2. Family summer vacations at Hilton Head with nieces and nephews are always fun . . .

3. A good cup of coffee while reading my bible every morning ALWAYS tops the list!

4. Happiness is LOVE . . .what more can I say?




5. Watching our family of cats at play - always brings a smile . . .

6. The casual feeling that comes from wearing comfortable fun flip flops in the summer ....




7. The joy of finding creative fun recipes on the internet to post on my blog . . .

8. Finding a wonderful new book in the library to read is always a nice surprise....

9. Having a home and comfortable bed is a happy blessing . . .

10. Chocolate of any kind . . .

11. Casual get-togethers and planning parties makes me happy ....




12. The amazing colors of nature that I find in my garden . . .

13. Finding some free time to watch HGTV and The Food Network on the weekends . . .




14. Visiting my favorite blogs and reading favorite magazines makes me happy!

15. Having a tea party and finding inspiration from others....
