I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
A New Season & Terrain
These are exciting times to be alive in the Kingdom of God. These are the days that the prophets of old prophesied of the mysteries of what they saw. They now surround and cheer us on to press in and contend for the inheritance of the Kingdom. Knowing, yet not knowing the fullness of what they saw, they joyfully rejoice in wonder of what has been laid to our charge to bring the Kingdom of God into complete fulfillment.
We are now the recipients of new revelations, realms, and territories that are ours for the taking. The Lord God of Israel has extended His hand towards us to arise and enter in to the new doors and open gates that stand before us. It is a new place and dimension that we have never encountered before. Yet, His scepter is extended towards His people. Who will arise to seize the fruits of inheritance? Those will reach into the invisible and pull out the visible tools needed for the battle.
As saints of God, we have been translated and promoted to a new place. The atmospheric climate is different than what we were used to living in. The terrain and lay of the land is unfamiliar and precarious. Strange adversarial foes roam the land. A spiritual upgrade is even needed in our weaponry and battle technologies so that we can quickly acclimate towards successfully waging a good warfare against the forces of darkness. We are in a place that we have never been, which requires us to go back to the Source for new directives. The Lord God stands ready and waiting for those who acknowledge their need of Him and seek His face.
These are not days to rush in presumptuously. Presumption can lead to the demise of our destiny in God if we fail to stop and acknowledge the One who knows the Way to go. Isaiah 48:17 declares, Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. It is the Lord that teaches us to profit. Profit is defined as to gain an advantage or benefit. It did not say that the Lord will teach us how to make a profit in terms of dollars and cents. But, for us to profit that we may gave an advantage or be increased. However, we must still go back to Him to get the blueprints and strategies that this phase of the battle requires. We must embrace the following attributes to successfully make the pilgrimage to where God wants us to be.
Come Out With Your Hands Up!
Personal surrender is the key for advancement. God is searching to and fro throughout the earth for those who will yield their lives unto Him as a sweet sacrifice. He is looking for one who will submit their will, ambitions, motives, and dreams upon the altar of surrender and begin to take on His desires.
Proverbs 37:4 exhorts us to Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. When we choose to find our fulfillment in things of God, He will cause our desires to come into alignment with His. Again, it involves our active participation and agreement to surrender to His Will.
Surrender requires a spirit of humility and meekness. Many people equate meekness with weakness. However, meekness is strength undergirded with grace. It is one of the Fruit of the Spirit. God takes great joy in the meek. Moses was the meekest man that walked the earth. Jesus declares in Matthew 5:5, Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Psalms 25:9 expounds on meekness being necessary to be teachable. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. In order to go where we have never been, we must be willing to yield our right to be right and to be in control.
The Evolution of Trust
These days. there is a greater likelihood of one not trusting a person than it is to trust someone. Suspicion and distrust are the driving forces of the day. Because of the scars of the past, many go out into the world with walls and barriers already established. They have already set their mind to protect themselves at any cost. They do not give the gift of their trust easily and when they do; it is a great feat. However, when it is broken or misused, it is again withdrawn and becomes more entrenched and further reinforces their initial beliefs. However, God is requiring His people to come into a place of trust with Him.
The evolution of trust in the life of an individual is complex; yet a necessary process. It begins with the matter of belief on a people or thing. A person must believe that it exists or is worthy of any consideration. Hebrews 11:6 proclaims, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Believing on Him is the first step. Notice I said believing on; not in. You begin by believing and knowing that the thing is real. Then the path leads us to believing in. Trust is born as you begin to believe in a thing or person. The more you spend time with a person or acquaint yourself with a particular thing, then the more it becomes familiar to you.
Trust then leads to confidence. Confidence is then the full trust; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing. It is a proven assurance in another. The Lord is really bringing the Body of Christ to a place of evaluation and self-assessment. Do we really trust Him absolutely? We love Him, believe on Him, and will worship Him. But, can we place our lives and loves (the things we hold dear) in His hands? Can we truly let go of all the controls in our lives and allow Him to lead us where we do not know where we are going?
The ruler of this world and this turbulent age are rapidly headed toward a collision with the Most High God and His Kingdom. Yet, we do not fully know what all of this holds for us or will mean to us. Therefore, let us truly lend our hearts to embrace the evolutionary process that must be birthed within each of us as we come to a place of trusting Him - even when we cannot track Him!
Guiding Us With His Eyes
The evolution of trust breeds familiarity. There is a degree of intimacy involved with trust. There is an exchange that occurs in the place of intimacy. Even with married couples spending years together, words sometimes are not even needed. All it takes is a look, a gesture, or touch that will speak volumes. This is the result of consistent fellowship and communion with one another. I believe that this is the Father’s heart cry in this season. He declares in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. These are His thoughts and plans for us. He knows where our destiny lies and wants to give us insight and wisdom to get there. But, it demands our cooperation and participation in the process. We must be willing to draw so close to Him that we can recognize His look and touch. As we press in to know Him, we will come to a place of believing in Him. This will transition us into a place of trusting and established a deep-rooted bedrock of confidence in Him and His ways. It is in this place of familiarity and assurance where words are not needed. Saints of the Most High, let us allow the Lord to usher us into new depths where one look from Him speaks volumes and guides on our course of destiny.
