How Do We Abide In The Love Of God?

"Lord God, help me not only to fully accept
how much You love me,
but help me to abide in Your love!
John 15:9

How do we "abide" in the love of God?
Beth Moore
s
"We dwell no further from His side than the place we are most keenly aware of His great affection. Was it not the disciple who reclined against Christ Jesus who saw himself as the "beloved disciple"? Place your ear against the chest of the Savior so that, when trouble times come, you may not know what will befall you, but you can hear the steady pulse of the bondless love of Him who holds you."

PRAYING GOD'S WORD
s
"Father, God thank you for telling me that You Yourself express Your Love uniquely to those who have loved Christ and believed He came from God." (John 16:27)
s
"O God, please set my heart at rest in Your presence when my heart wants to condemn me. For You, God, are greater than my heart, and You know everything." (1 John 3:19-20)
s
My wonderful Savior, Jesus, as hard as this is for me to fathom, Your Word says that as Your Father has loved You, so You love me so much that You want me to remain in Your love. If I obey Your commands, I will remain in Your love, just as You have obeyed Your Father's commands and remain in His Love. You told me this so that Your joy may be in me and that my joy may be complete. (John 15:9-11)
