When You Wish Upon A Star

The holiest of all holidays are those
Kept by ourselves in silence and apart,
The secret anniversaries of the heart...
--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

To maintain harmony it’s important to seek solitude and quality time away from family and friends. Solitude is just as necessary to the care and feeding of our soul as food and sleep is to our bodies.

So exactly when was the last time you spent some time star gazing on a cold winter night? Can you even remember where or when? Where you alone or with someone?

This week when the sky is clear and darkness has fallen; why not take a few precious moments for yourself and venture outside? Bring along your favorite fleece throw for warmth and something warm to drink so you don‘t get cold. Then sit back, relax and look up. This brilliant majestic splendor of the stars that stretches out across the expanse of the heavens was created just for YOU by our Heavenly Father.

How Simply Divine!
For the Lord determines the number of the stars
and he calls them each by name.
For Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit. (Psalm 147: 4-5)
